Many years ago, my grandmother, mother, and uncle arrived in Pennsylvania, hoping for a better life. My grandma and my mom have put in their all to raise both me and my sister with the utmost care- so that we could achieve what we wanted to achieve through hard work.
Our story isn't rare at all. Millions of people have the same story. As people, we all want what is best for ourselves, for our families and loved ones. Who are we to deny others that same opportunity? That's what America means to me. We take those who need refuge in our arms, so that they could soon grow and flourish, possibly doing wonderful things that will make this country even greater.
Last year, I hosted an online pop-up bake sale- just to challenge myself and see if I could make a few extra bucks. This year, love is the motivation for this pop-up bake sale. We need to raise love, not hate. We need to ensure that America is a safe haven for those to come. For a few weeks in February, I will be offering the items below for purchase (Houston, TX folks only). ALL proceeds will be donated to the ACLU, as well as the Flint, Michigan water crisis.
Pick up /delivery dates will be Feb 11,12,18,19. Cash, Check, Credit card are accepted. I can modify the baked goods to be gluten free.
